Ingredients

  • 1 pack hot dog buns
  • 4-6 cups prepared mashed potatoes (works great with leftovers), warmed
  • 1 cup shredded yellow cheddar cheese
  • 8 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 scallions, trimmed and sliced thin
  • 2 cups turkey or chicken gravy, warmed

Preparation

Step 1

Cook your hot dogs your favorite way. We suggest pan-fried with butter! See how to cook the perfect hot dog.

Step 2

Set hot dogs in bun and top each with a generous helping of mashed potatoes. Then top with cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon. Drizzle with sour cream and garnish with scallions.

Step 3

Serve with warmed gravy. Drizzle gravy over potatoes just before eating, or dip hot dogs in gravy and enjoy!
